SoSe 13: Introduction to Stata

This seminar has the objective to provide a practical introduction to the application of the software package Stata. At the end of the seminar, students should be able to self-reliantly conduct basic reproducible statistical analyses: The topics taught in this course include: 1) the documentation of analyses (do-files, log-files), 2) data management (dataset and variable modification), 3) univariate distributions, 4) correlation and regression, and 5) the construction of graphs. The seminar will be held as a 4-day course at the beginning of the summer term and is designed for second semester master students.
