Kommentar
In recent years, there has been a boom in anthropological and science studies literature that takes an interest in “worlding practices” beyond human exceptionalism. Multispecies configurations (Haraway, Kirksey), compost-collectives (Tsing, Haraway) and earth beings (de la Cadena) inhabit this new theoretical universe. They dwell next to multiple bodies (Mol), indigenous ontologies (Viveiro de Castro) and biosocial becomings (Ingold). A vast diversity of approaches thus appears under the label “ontological turn”. This course aims to give an overview about this literature and the controversies it mirrors. It will situate it in wider debates about the articulation of nature-cultures as they have been influential in both feminist anthropology and STS. Schließen
