The lecture, excercises and seminar start on 25 April 2017.
Comments
This course covers fundamental concepts of biomedical bioinformatics and genomics, with a particular focus on questions and goals of biomedical data analysis.
Amongst others, the following topics will be treated: genome-wide association studies (GWAS), eQTLs, machine learning and classification of patient data, biomedical ontologies and their application in bioinformatics, hereditary disorders and disease gene prediction, principles of mutation/variant interpretation, principles of computational cancer research.
