Comments

The Research and Development process of information technology systems is closely related to socio-scientific aspects like the acceptance and usage of technology or the impact of technology on society. In addition, ethical (e.g. moral aspects) or legal (e.g. violation of legal regulations such as data protection laws) questions that arise from technology development affect the professional work of computer scientists.

Against this background, the seminar will help to strengthen interdisciplinary in computer science. Based on various examples, the students will learn to understand the pros and cons of interdisciplinary work. Furthermore, we will discuss how interdisciplinary work can be realized successfully. A core aspect is the question, how socio-scientific knowledge can be integrated in technical solutions (e.g. trust in communication).

Thus, basic principles of academic/scientific work will be reflected in the light of interdisciplinary research and development methods.
