SoSe 18: Ü2-Communication Skills: Speaking Your Mind

The aim of this course is to prepare students to use English effectively in their professional career, with particular emphasis on developing the skills necessary in formal situations such as public speaking, job applications and interviews. Each student will be required to give at least one speech, and to take part in the workshop discussion afterwards; they will also submit a portfolio of documents required for applying for a job: letter of application and a CV. Students will also be required to take part in a simulated job interviews, and in the discussion and analysis that follows each interview session.
The requirement for participation in the course is the successful completion of the first part of the module.
