VORAUSSETZUNG:

Basic knowledge in Physics and Mathematics. Knowledge of the physics / B.Sc. Module „Einführung in die Astronomie und Astrophysik“ advised.


INHALT:

Microscopic physical and chemical processes in the interstellar medium, radiative transfer, heating and cooling rates, interstellar dust, shock waves. Composition and distribution of the interstellar medium (ISM). Stability of interstellar clouds - star formation.
