Die Veranstaltung soll die Studierenden in die Literatur bezüglich Mensch-Wildtierkonflikte einführen. Ergänzende Exkursionen in Berlin und seiner unmittelbaren Umgebung sollen direkte Einblicke in Konfliktszenarien bieten.

Inhalte:
The lecture will offer insights into the structure, the dynamics and the outcome of human-wildlife conflicts. They will learn to look at conflict scenarios from multiple angles, enabling them to assess objectively possible solutions. The seminar will help students to get acquainted with literature on human-wildlife conflicts and additional excursions will provide first-hand accounts of conflict scenarios in and around Berlin.

Qualifikationsziele:
Following this module, students will have obtained an in-depth knowledge about the history, structure and consequences of selected human-wildlife conflicts. Besides, they will obtain information on current topics in biodiversity and conservation research on a national and international scale. Schließen
