SoSe 19: Methods for Genome Analysis

Birte Katharina Kehr

Comments

This seminar will address methods for the analysis of genomic sequences with a particular focus on the human genome. We will cover examples of how sequence analysis algorithms are applied to answer biological questions.

After a general introduction to the sequence composition and diversity of the human genome, we will discuss original papers on the identification of different repeat classes, variant types, haplotypes, meiotic recombination, methylation etc. Original papers will primarily be selected to have an algorithmic component.
