Inhalt: Opinion mining, also called sentiment analysis or sentiment classification is a kind of text classification. Its main task is to automatically obtain the people's opinions towards certain object which might be a car, a product, a human or anything else.
The result of the opinion mining will help not only individuals to decide upon their required object but also helps commercial sectors to improve their products, plans, marketing objectives by taking successful decisions. It also helps the government to improve the effectiveness of their service, and much more. Its importance lies in the fact that it provides the user with the related and the relevant information required automatically without bothering him to deal with a huge number of resulting documents most of which might be unrelated or even unrequited.
By taking this seminar, students will learn what exactly the opinion mining and sentiment analysis is, what are the important and related areas that are working in association with opinion mining and sentiment analysis such as information retrieval, information extraction, machine learning classification algorithms and some preprocessing tasks from the area of natural language processing.
