This seminar evaluates latest business models in the media industry. The main focus is on start-ups and media entrepreneurs. Students will simulate founding a media start-up and learn about current start-ups in Berlin. This part is followed by a critical discussion on the potential and problems of the creative class and cultural industries, especially their impact on employment, economic growth, and urban planning.
