Kommentar
This course will focus on social inequalities, specifically socioeconomic status, ethnicity/race and gender within the framework education. Using both theory and empirical evidence from different countries, we will investigate various perspectives regarding the social structure of schools, the position of migrant and other disadvantaged groups, gender based differences and outcomes of education. Within the focus of sociology of education, it aims to develop deeper understanding of certain issues in individual, group, institutional and societal level. This course will be interactive including presentations, videos and small group discussions. Schließen
