SoSe 13: Interest Groups and US Foreign Policy
Thomas Greven
Kommentar
US political culture and institutions open the political process to societal influence more than in any other democracy, and this applies to foreign policy as well. Interest groups are the most common form of such societal influence. We will first consider various definitions and typologies of interest groups. Secondly, we will discuss a range of theoretical approaches to the study of interest groups in foreign policy. Finally, we will explore empirical examples of their role in the decision-making process and their impact on foreign policy. Schließen
