Das Modul "Strukturen und Steuerung der politischen Kommunikation" besteht aus 2 Hauptseminaren. Für das Hauptseminar, in dem die Hausarbeit geschrieben wird, gibt es 10 ECTS, für das andere Hauptseminar 5 ECTS. close

This seminar looks at international media from an economic and strategic perspective. In particular, we will investigate what international media (organisations and those with an international target audience) do, how they operate, which strategies they deploy, and with what effect.
Formalities: As to the seminar dates, some flexibility may be required by participants (possible shifting of dates). The course language is English. For the first session, seminar participants are requested to prepare and give a short introductory presentation about themselves, outlining interests, experiences to date etc., in any suitable format (e.g. PowerPoint, video, animation etc). Slots for presentations (Referate) are ONLY allocated in the first meeting. Preparatory / background reading: Publications / posts / articles, e.g. - about established ("old") media organisations (from Bertelsmann to the New York Times) - about "new" media organisations (from Google to Twitter) - Hans-Bredow-Institut (Ed.) (various years): Internationales Handbuch Medien. Baden-Baden. close
