This course aims on repetition and advancing the knowledge and usage of methodological principles of quantitative data analysis. This includes: - descriptive analysis, - statistical inference, - choosing the right procedure for specific research questions, - choosing the right procedure for the data type, - statistical analysis. Beside this seminar has the objective to provide a practical introduction to the application of the software package SPSS. At the end of the seminar, students should be able to self-reliantly conduct basic reproducible statistical analyses. The topics taught in this course include: - data management (dataset and variable modification, index building), - calculating univariate distributions, - running univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analyses, - constructing graphs, - output interpretation, and - results reporting. Basic knowledge in data analysis is strongly recommended. The number of participants it limited.
