This lecture series is designed for students of natural sciences with biomedical interests. It focusses on clinical aspects of immune-mediated diseases. Clinical pictures, successes and limitations of current treatments, clinical applications of biomedical research findings, and needs for further basic research of high clinical relevance are presented and discussed. The seminar series is accompanied by monthly site visits at the medical clinics. Here the students are introduced to selected patients. Clinical pictures and treatment options are discussed. Time and place of the monthly site visits at the medical clinics is announced individually at the end of each seminar lecture.
