Course Description
The Model European Union is an organised game, in which the participants, with the assistance of an authentic simulation, seek to further the work of the European Union and multinational diplomacy.At the Model EU the participants take on the role of an ambassador from a member state, or of a diplomat from different bodies of the European Union in order to negotiate current problems.
Students from all faculties may apply for participation. For your preparation, we will provide a comprehensive background guide with information as well as negotiation techniques and the rules of procedure. There will be two mandatory preparatory meetings where the delegations will meet and participants are introduced to the topic and the rules of procedure. Participants are asked to prepare Position Papers concerning their delegations’ positions in the conference.
