Business processes are the most valuable asset of an enterprise and a critical contributor to efficient enterprise services value chains. The course addresses the understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) technologies from the perspective of Computer Science. Students will learn about methods, standards and tools in Semantic Business Process Management (SBPM), which is the combination of Corporate Semantic Web technologies and distributed IT and Web Services technologies used for business process modelling, mining and implementation/execution. The lecture material is deepened by practical implementations and student projects in the exercises.
