The course also serves as preparation for the animal feed science and the basic of animal nutrition courses
Comments
The aim of the course is that students know
1. the basic methods for the cultivation of crops and forages,
2. are able to identify the most important forage plants,
3. know the essential characteristics and
4. learn how plants are harvested , preserved, stored and processed.
5. the basic definitions of phytotherapy,
6. the most important medicinal and toxic plants and
7. major phytochemicals and -toxins and their pharmacological / toxicological effects.
