Students will be introduced to the basic concepts and practices of medical anthropology. The seminar has a particular focus on understanding health, illness and healing in an inter-connected world and the diverse roles of a medical anthropologist. Students are expected to come prepared to class having read the assigned literature. The lecturer will facilitate discussions drawing from her own experience and encouraging student-led learning.
