Kommentar
Statistical Reasoning is an introductory class that will focus on the basics behind the statistical concepts related to the collection, description, and inference from data. The course will cover the difference between experiments and observational studies, how to summarize data both visually and numerically, the methods and reasons behind sampling, the use of correlation and regression analysis to determine statistical relationships between variables, and how to determine whether those statistical relationships are meaningful. Students are expected to be present and active for at least 4/5s of all classes and perform satisfactorily on all assignments over the course of the semester. Students wishing to receive a grade in the course will be given an in-class exam on the last class of the semester. The seminar will be conducted in English. Schließen
