          Lecture

SoSe 16: V-Lit. Stud.: Periods-Genres-Concepts I: Early Modern English Theatre
Andreas Mahler
Comments
Early modern England witnesses the emergence of a hitherto unknown secular theatre that shows an enormous impact on the theatrical landscape still today. The lecture, which is a follow-up to the lecture on “Early modern English drama” in the winter 2015 but does not presuppose it, will explore the variety of the early modern theatrical production in England by specifically focusing on the question of plot-making and on the problem of early modern presentation and representation. close
