Comments
Life course research is a multi- and interdisciplinary exercise, incorporating the knowledge gained from several fields such as sociology, history, psychology, demography, etc. The sociological approach to life course studies is characterised by its attention for the way in which individual life courses are shaped by their social environment. Life course analysis aims at the dynamics of the reproduction of social structure by focusing on developmental processes within the life course as well as intergenerational effects in the reproduction of social inequality. close
