Demographic change and population ageing pose a major challenge to western (former) industrial societies that affects European welfare states in particular. To convey a most holistic understanding of ageing Europe, the seminar approaches this challenge from multiple perspectives - demographic / statistical, socio-structural, conceptual / theoretical and political / policy-related . close
