This of course is the most important pre-Islamic use of the Silk Road.
We will look at an introduction and then turn to the materials that interests us must: either secular documents, Buddhist literature, Manichean literature or Chistian literature each with its own focus.
The materials will be provided.
The course will be in English but explanations will also be provided in German, as required.
