The modul consists of a seminar and a project-seminar deepening the knowledge of theories and methods of comparative environmental policy analysis and test their practical application. We will focus on transition processes in BRICS countries with special focus on sustainable development and in particular on the energy sector and urbanisation. In the project seminar a student research project is designed in individual or group work. Participants develop research designs and critically evaluate research concepts through peer reviews. In the project seminar a student research project is designed in individual or group work. During the project seminar, those working on the project receive supervision and feedback from lecturers, students and external experts from the scientific and political fields. On this basis students write an 8.000 word research paper. close
