SoSe 17: Critical Whiteness
Eric Anton Heuser
Comments
Instead of understanding whiteness as a biologically determined identity, this course will investigate the notion of whiteness as a cultural, historical and political construction. We will look at the ways whiteness has grown up along side the notion of blackness and the concepts of race and ethnicity and investigate how being ‘white’ is related to socio-cultural, political, and economical privilege. close
