Branko Woischwill
Comments
In this course, the issue of consumption is examined in more detail from a sociological perspective – with the main focus U.S. consumption. ----- For this purpose, initially there will be a study of relevant theories of consumption, e.g. Baudrillard, Veblen and Weber. Furthermore, it follows an analysis of specific consumption phenomena, e.g. globalization and technological innovation. In addition, appropriate practical examples, case studies and analyzes are discussed in the course. ----- A Comprehensive, critical examination, including an outlook on future developments, forms the conclusion of this seminar.
