In this software project, various projects from the area of theoretical computer science relating to cryptography may be chosen:

1. DNSSEC signing and verification of DNS records as well as related problems
2. PGP/GPG encryption and signing
3. simulation of hardware-implemented cryptographic primitives

The project focuses on the solution of the underlying theoretical problem as well as the integration into a bigger software project. The latter will require some familiarization and planning.
