This compact course offers a comprehensive overview over fundamental concepts in semantics and pragmatics. Participants who wish to prepare for this course are advised to read Semantics: a coursebook (see the reference below) and start working on the numerous exercises provided there. Participants may also contact me (raffelsiefen@ids-mannheim.de) to find a topic for a short presentation in class. Credit for this course is based on that presentation and participation in the discussions.
