Julio Fournier
Information for students
3 ECTS for participation only, 7 ECTS for a graded class
Comments
Statistical Reasoning is an introductory course looking at the basics behind statistical concepts of data collection, description and inference. Topics include the difference between experiments and observational studies, how to summarize data both visually and numerically, the methods and reasons behind sampling, the use of correlation and regression analysis to determine statistical relationships between variables, and how to determine whether those statistical relationships are meaningful. Students are expected to attend and actively participate in at least 80% of all classes and perform satisfactorily on all assignments over the course of the semester. To obtain a graded certificate, there will be an additional exam at the end of the term. close
