Über die Teilnahme an diesem Modul erhalten die Studierenden einen detaillierten Einblick in die Geschichte, Struktur und Konsequenz von ausgewählten Mensch-Wildtier Konflikten. Daneben werden sie in aktuelle Themen der Biodiversitäts- und Artenschutzforschung eingeführt. Die Studierenden werden lernen, Konfliktszenarien aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln zu betrachten. Über diesen Ansatz soll es ihnen ermöglicht werden, Lösungsansätze objektiv zu beurteilen.
Inhalte:
The lecture will offer insights into the structure, the dynamics and the outcome of human-wildlife conflicts. They will learn to look at conflict scenarios from multiple angles, enabling them to assess objectively possible solutions. The seminar will help students to get acquainted with literature on human-wildlife conflicts and additional excursions will provide first-hand accounts of conflict scenarios in and around Berlin.
Qualifikationsziele:
Following this module, students will have obtained an in-depth knowledge about the history, structure and consequences of selected human-wildlife conflicts.
