Markus Kienscherf, Lora Anne Viola
Comments
In this seminar, we will examine both historical and contemporary rationalities and practices of surveillance. We will look at the genealogy of surveillance. We will analyze the various roles of surveillance in state-making, market-making and social ordering. Last but not least, we will survey the field of surveillance studies, and interrogate notions of the surveillance society, surveillance culture and surveillance capitalism. close
