The lecture covers an overview of concepts in evolution and biodiversity as related to current genomic sequencing methods; evolution of genes and genomes, fundamentals of genomic and metagenomic analyses. Students will gain an understanding of the application of NGS sequencing and bioinformatic analyses to modern biodiversity research in natural populations and communities of non-model organisms. close
