Comments
In the first part of this graduate seminar, we will look at recent and exciting
research tackling the problem of antibiotic resistance, including the use of
adjuvant and alternatives to antibiotics. The case of Clostridium difficile infection
will be examined in particular details. In the second part, we will look at the
human gut microbiota in health and diseases, and consider exciting
opportunity to target it with therapeutics (drugs, prebiotics, probiotics, fecal
microbiota transplantation, etc.). This seminar will involve very recent literature
with a special focus on novel therapeutic opportunity. Students will have to
present a paper they have selected.
