Kommentar

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected almost everyone’s life in most countries of the world. The consequences of the crisis include overburdened health care systems near to collapse, lockdowns of large parts of the population and worldwide economic recession. The aim of the course is to shed some light on the Covid-19 pandemic from a sociological perspective by analyzing its development as well as its impact on different world regions (e.g. Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the US). Students will study important aspects of the crisis such as emerging social inequalities, economic recession and state politics. Schließen
