Comments

In this seminar, students will gain experience in generating and analysing data on cutting-edge topics in transregional China studies. In a series of introductory sessions, the instructors will provide an overview of the various commonly-used research methods in social science research and also provide an introduction to the topic of the digital silk road initiative. Working in groups and in consultation with the instructors, students will then employ one or more qualitative or quantitative approaches to study one particular aspect of the digital silk road topic. Each group will present their findings in a conference-style format in July and will draft an article-length manuscript to be submitted for publication to a student journal such as Mapping China (https://mappingchina.org/journal/) close
