  • Cerebral proteopathies: Alzheimer´s disease, Parkinson´s disease, prion diseases
  • Portrait of the diseases
  • Protein aggregation as a common molecular key feature of different proteopathies
  • Nucleation-dependent protein polymerization of amyloid-beta (Aß) and tau protein,
  • alpha-synuclein and prion protein in Alzheimer´s, Parkinson´s and prion diseases, respectively
  • Amyloid fibril formation
  • Structure models and polymorphisms of amyloid fibrils
  • Transmissibility of protein seeding and disease features by self-replicating Aß-, tau-, a-syn- and PrP particles
  • Pathophysiology, diagnostics and therapy
