SoSe 21: Inequality in the Global Order
Lora Anne Viola
Comments
This course explores the different kinds of global inequality that exist. Based on a close reading of theoretical and empirical texts, we will address questions such as: What are the different kinds of global inequality and how might they be related? Why do they exist and why do they persist? How much global inequality is acceptable and can it ever be eliminated? The course will consider global inequalities both at the level of individuals and at the level of polities; it will consider economic, social, racial, gender, and political inequalities and their intersectionalities. Classes will be held online. close
