This seminar will present a critical overview over sociological research on race and ethnicity. Firstly, we will engage with prominent past and present theorists of race and ethnicity, critically interrogating their use of the concepts of race and ethnicity. Secondly, we will examine the social, economic, and political situation of racialized groups in the contemporary United States. close
