Modern weather forecast and climate prediction rely heavily on numerical methods that are utilized to solve the partial differential equations describing our coupled Earth system: First and foremost, the equations of fluid dynamics for the ocean and the atmosphere. In this seminar we will learn about those numerical methods by means of applied research.
