Introduction to Medical Anthropologyanthropology, discussing its various facets such as interpretive medical anthropology, critical medical anthropology, and feminist medical anthropology. Through the reading of ethnographies, we will also explore key concepts such as body, disease, health, healing, biomedicine, medicalization, life, and death, and how they acquire specific meanings in different social and cultural contexts. Finally, we will look at the contemporary challenges facing medical anthropology, such as epidemics.
