      SoSe 21: Turkish Literature from the Tanzimat period until today

        Introduction to modern Turkish literature from its beginnings in the Tanzimat period until today. In addition to the course content, selected texts in Turkish will be read. We will approach the topic with reference to historical, social, cultural and political aspects and also take a look at the Turcophone literatures in two of the neighbouring countries of Turkey, Cyprus and Greece, and at the Turcophone literatures of minorities in Turkey.        close
