This team-teaching course invites students to diverse research methods in Korean studies. As an interdisciplinary study, research questions in Korean Studies can be approached by qualitative methods, quantitative methods and mixed methods depending on a research question. The crucial point is that research methods are more than technical issues to apply a particular method to the research. It embraces epistemological questions based on a critical review on current knowledge production of Korean Studies. With this point, this course introduces students basic qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods regarding Korean Studies. close
