This seminar aims at combining an overview of the current state of media effects research and an introduction into media literacy education. What are the main aspects and principles of media literacy education according to UNESCO guidelines? How can insights from communication research be applied in media literacy training? Participants will discuss the application of classic media theories, such as agenda-setting theory, framing theory, and others in media literacy education. Participants will work in groups on creating a toolbox with media literacy exercises for different audiences. Schließen
