Zeit: Do 14:00-16:00 (Erster Termin: 21.04.2022)
This research-oriented seminar aims at analyzing the role of digitalmedia in the war that Russia is waging in Ukraine. What strategies and with what consequences are/were being used by different actors in this war? What role are/were global online platforms playing in disseminating information and promoting narratives about the conflict? Does this war change our understanding of the role of digital media in political communication? Drawing on the extant literature on the role of the internet in propaganda, dissemination of (false) information as well as mobilization of civil protest, seminar participants will explore various aspects of the topic. The seminar has a strong focus on students’ own research projects as well as on group work with the help of FU-Wiki. Schließen
