Comments

Forced migration’ refers to the movements of refugees and internally displaced people (displaced by conflict) as well as people displaced by natural or environmental disasters, chemical or nuclear disasters, famine, or development projects” (Forced Migration Review n.d.). In this seminar, we take a transregional perspective on key types, dimensions and issues of forced migration across South and Southeast Asia, centered around case studies from Europe, MENA, South and Southeast Asia (in particular: Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan).
