In the history of Arabic literature, poetry and music have always gone hand in hand and still have a close and intimate relationship to this day. In this course, poems by outstanding poets are read, translated, and analyzed in detail. The chosen poems for the course have been sung and made popular by well-known musicians from the Arab world. After reading the texts, the students will also hear the version of the poem set to music and do various exercises with it. Music is an exceptional tool for learning vocabulary, structure, and grammar. The course will develop the students' reading as well as their listening skills. close
