SoSe 22: Master seminar on Numerical Mathematics
Volker John
Comments
Advanced topics from Numerical Mathematics will be studied in this seminar.
In summer semester 2022 topics from finite element methods for incompressible flow problems will be studied. These topics
are a continuation of the corresponging topic from Numerics IV from the last winter semester:
- pressure stabilization for the Stokes equations
- a posteriori error estimation for the Stokes equations
- weakly divergence-free methods
- steady-state Navier-Stokes equations
- time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations
- simulations of turbulent flows
- solvers for algebraic saddle point problems
Basic knowledge on finite element methods is necessary (Numerics III).
