The topic of this seminar will be the question of fictional texts in Arabic literature, with a focus on classical prose literature, but also with glimpses into the modern and present. For this we will read and discuss theoretical texts on fictionality, fiction and the imaginary together, as well as case studies on individual Arabic texts and genres. close
