Branko Woischwill
Comments
In this seminar, we use a sociological perspective to analyze the complex issue of consumption. A topic that is relevant in North America as well as worldwide. -----
For this purpose, initially there will be a study of relevant theories of consumption, e.g. Baudrillard, Ritzer, Veblen or Weber. Furthermore, it follows an analysis of specific consumption phenomena, e.g. globalization, sustainable consumption and technological innovation. In addition, appropriate practical examples and case studies are discussed. Also, experts will give valuable insights into how specific challenges can be met. -----
A comprehensive, critical examination, including an outlook on future developments, forms the conclusion of this seminar.
